The first talk at Dundee Tech talks is on Thursday 28th July 2016 @ 19:30 in Dundee MakerSpace Unit 5 Vision Building.  Tickets are available here. Come along and sample brand new technology with Hololens.  We have our hands on the limited and rare developer edition, so this maybe your first chance to try out this exciting technology long before anyone else.

The Holographic world through the HoloLens

Welcome to the new emerging world of mixed reality. Microsoft's new Holographic world is the merging of real and virtual worlds and is brought to us through the new exciting HoloLens.

After 5 years of secret development under the name of Project Baraboo, the smart-glasses headset is now emerging from Microsoft HQ into the hands of select developers. We are pleased to announce that Dundee Tech Talks will open with a presentation from Microsoft Partner and Developer Gareth James who has brought the first two HoloLens to the UK.

At this talk Gareth will take you through the looking glass into the world of Holograms. We will take you on a journey through the amazing technology contained in the headset, from the inertial measurement unit through to the Holographic processing unit, and allow you to try out this exciting, game changing, industry changing, mind blowing new and bleeding edge emerging technology.
