Might be worth checking the verbose testing section of 
http://sial.org/howto/perl/life-with-cpan/  to see what's going on.

Or there's the perl-MIME-tools packages from 
http://dag.wieers.com/packages/perl-MIME-tools/
which contain MIME::Entity
