David, that's excellent; there are loads of people who need help just
getting their first step on the linux ladder, and a successful
installation is the key to that. You are number one on my list of
volunteers!

For example, yesterday I met a bloke in his 60s in a bookshop, who was
telling me how sad it was that he couldn't afford a computer, because
he was excluded from so many things he'd like to get involved with.
And I was thinking "someone somewhere is about to bin their XP machine
- - if only I could give it to you with Mint or Xubuntu on it...)

I'm just finishing off a "proposal" document for consultation which
I'll send around shortly
