You're going to need a second network card as well, to connect to your
modem / router, and thus on to the internet.

You don't need all that much room on your hard drive -- about 100M; that
is unless you intend to connect to an ADSL router which will only allow
itself to be talked to via some sort of application which demands an X
interface.  (Bummer, if all you've got is a samll machine with not
much memory.)

Meanwhile, back in Cheltenham ... Andy's deep into SM, installing a
firewall on a crappy 486 with a duff hard disk and only 12M of memory...

Oh, the joy.
