[Glastonbury] SUSE 9, Al's first impressions

Well i installed this last night

at first glances it rocks
especially for server LAMP use
lots of easy to use wizards in the Yast section
setting up samba/apache/procmail/fetchmail is a doodle, esp good for
beginners
comes with just about every app you could think of

it was nice to see figlet in the experienced users setion of the rpm
installer
(the only way to write sig files)


only a few bugs so far (no theme manager, theyve done away with knoda,
cant access yast modules properly from kde control centre)

looks very promising

the HD set up during install isnt as simple as mandrake, 

picks up external HD caddies easily 9 its THE best way to back up)
