Well, I don't have the full facts about the GPL stuff, but I hear that there
comemrcial product is very good :)

I think you'll find that this was one particular member (co-founder) of the
original team, now left, who regualry slags off the current Smoothwall team.
Obviously some sort of fall-out there ;)
But, I have used both and know that Smoothwall was a more usable product in my
opinion. Although, I think IPCop may have some features that Smoothwall does
not, but they are not as quick about releasing patches for exploits etc as
Smoothwall and I think that has to be a priority, just by looking at my IDS
logs ;)
