You can also install a virus scanner whilst running knoppix to scan the
hard drives for virus's

To save your settings click K menu - Knoppix = Configure - save
settings
This will activate a program which will guide you through saving you
settings and what media you are saving them on ( usb Key)

next time you boot knoppix you will need to enter a cheat code ( this
means as soon as knoppix boots in lilo you need to neter this line for
the boot process to know where you settings are
myconfig=scan

this means knoppix will scan all devices that it finds to look for the
settings file

I take it by this you mean that you are connected over the network to
your redhat server.

First off you will need to export /var/www/html via NFS i normally use
webmin for this but in /etc there is a file called exports the details
need to be entered in here this is a bit tricky as i am not sure of all
of the syntax. read man pages ( or install webmin)

Once this is done your machine running knoppix you will need to set the
network up using the knoppix button on the task bar you up to the
network/internet tab and then to the network configuration enter ip
addresses as approiate .

To mount the nfs drvie you cn alter the /etc_fstab file
Or ( I am using the knoppix hacks book now )

you must reconfigure LISa
in a terminal
sudo mv /etc/lisarc /etc/lisarc.bak
sudo kcontrol

this opens op kde control center click on the internet and network -
local network browsing
select the LISa tab and click LISa guided setup

go though all of the options and apply

next in a terminal
sudo /etc/init.d/lisa start

now from the kmenu open you home folder and type lan://localhost this
should then list all of the machines on the network.

Sorry that this is a bit long winded.

regards
