i agree andy. half the joy of linux is being part of a global network of
user help/gnu experience.

as a teacher of ict and advocate for FLOSS i want my students to
experience every aspect of ict and and that does include non-FLOSS. they
have to know the differences and make up their own minds.
i also understand that any new user of FLOSS must migrate at their own
speed.
it could be called the "differentiated install".
as members of the LUG we have to embrace this and help any user even if
they want to get back to where they were "before".
every user is unique and will require a different approach to using FLOSS.
