The new management at the G&P are having the fireplace in the front bar 
re-instated, so before too long they should have some nice roaring log 
fires going... could be within days, depends how long it takes to get 
the gas supply to the fire removed (they must have at some stage had 
some gas appliance there)...

Place is looking very festive too, with a second Christmas tree shortly 
to arrive and in the New Year they intend to re-open the restaurant with 
separate bar and restaurant menus.

Finally I think the G&P may be about to come out of its downward spiral.
