Thanks very much for message, Martin. Sorry, I use both email
addresses and had forgotten which was registered.

I'll test this on next occasion. Thanks!

Agreed. The Epson was not intended originally to be used with my computer but
with my husband/partner's Win2000/NT etc. I had an HP which worked fine with
Linux and jobs were easy enough to cancel. For a number of reasons, after a
while we switched printers and there wasn't much difficulty setting up the
Epson with Linux other than this one print job problem. I am very happy
indeed with the printed work Epson produces, I much prefer it to the printed
work from the HP. I don't want to give it up now I have it!

Windows wallies I agree entirely yet (if I recall rightly...) this pressing
the
off button for a period actually works with the cheaper version of
this printer, or so I've been told. I know someone who has the cheaper Epson
printer, has no problem with it in Linux apparently, no problem cancelling
jobs.

Epson only develop for Win and Apple, they told me. I expressed polite
surprise that they weren't involved with Linux "yet".... But they really did
try to help which was nice.

I'll check when I do the test.

I will check.

Good, thanks.

I'll get the info. The OS is Mandrake. I really *should* have thought to
mention that and will check the version.

Thanks again!
