Martin, Sean, Peter and all, Thanks for last nights meeting -
fascinating, many things I had never heard about, but I think I
managed to understand quite a bit. Thanks for all the help guys, as
well.

Maurice, I found the answers to your posts very useful although some
were above my head. I thought everyone had put a lot of time into
answering your questions, and from the 2 meetings that I have
attended, I have found members of the group only too happy to help
out.

You might want to consider other OSs such as Mac OS, which is very
easy to use, but, IMO, does not have the potential of Linux. Second
hand macs seem very reasonable at the moment.

<< You come across as a whole, as a bunch of elitist techies who
really don't want linux to become the home of the majority.>>

I've only been a member for a very short time, but that is certainly
not the impression that I have of the group. I think you are being
unfair to those who are giving up their time for free to help the
likes of you and me through the maillist and by providing some
interesting talks and help sessions. I think if you do manage to come
to a meeting you would find a group of people only too willing to help
and only too willing to push Linux out to 'the majority'.

Greg
