As I suspected, when we discussed it yesterday, it is Cygwin that I have 
on my windows installation -- and I think it is something that is well 
worth downloading, even if you don't intend to use it.

Great to be able to do a "find . -name '*sjjdsjd' -print" rather than 
have to endure that horrible XP animated dog, and wait hours....
