Well, there's me agreeing the signature should be as short as it reasonably
can be but in error I put my mail written late last night straight into send
when I meant to put it into draft as I hadn't read it through. Sig is set to
appear automatically and I doctor or delete it. I recall I inserted a sig
manually to check what was in it when answering the comments yesterday so
that must account for having 2. The whole lot would have been removed if I'd
checked the mail through...

Martin said re signature, isn't it supposed to be at the end anyway? No, not
the way I work, having quite a lot of mails to answer that don't require a
unique message every time. To me a sig is far more than co. name! It can be a
complete standard message which includes a conventional sig. at the end.
Because I can't find a way of doing in KMail what I used to do so easily in
OE with their useful facility of multiple sigs - chosen as I wanted them and
placed exactly where I wanted them, I have to make do with one sig per
identity which is pretty frustrating. I put everything that might be needed
in the sig and when using, doctor it.

You may think having some standard doc saved elsewhere would be just as good
but I've never yet found a system anywhere near as quick or efficient as the
OE signatures one and having one comprehensive doctorable sig in KMail is
next best thing for speed if not ideal.

So my sigs query was loaded but you didn't need to know anything more than why
can't I put sig where I want to put it. I already know I can't do multiple
sigs per identity in KMail (or if I can I don't know how). I already explained
in last mail that even if we all want to use quote and snip whenever we can,
very few of our business contacts do this and very often it would be
indadvisable for the sake of records.

I can't recall if Evolution will do multiple sigs. Having never got it to mail
anything, I haven't investigated it much further. Perhaps some other Linux
email application suitable for Mandrake would?

>Ummm ... try changing your language locale to something like Arabic ...
you'ld probably find it invaluable then ...

Perhaps KMail would like to link it to a facility for my multiple
signatures?!!
