The government is responsible for ensuring a fair market and I feel
that the lack of OS choice is due to unfair practices similar to
those for which Microsoft has been convicted in the past.

What is that belief based upon?  
Conservatives government 1980-1996: 997 Acts;
       Labour government 1998-2009: 451 Acts.

Even if you average that to take into account of the different lengths
of time, it's nowhere near.

Please, check your beliefs, else rational debate is difficult.

Prove it.  I've checked one legend from that email already.

There's also the question of whether the majority should be able to
exclude minority options - the so-called tyranny of the market.
