I have a request from somebody called Gavin to join the list, with e-mail
cu at thepub.co.za

This is a South African e-mail address, therefore I'm holding off approving
it until I've checked who "Gavin" is.

Is this a genuine person, who just happens to have an e-mail address in
Africa, or a spammer?
