Hi all,
	I have just upgraded to RH 7.1 and have been having problems with installing Perl modules from cpan.

unfortunately I don't have the error messages to hand ...

could it be down to the version of gcc RH have chosen - this is soemthing that put me off RH, but in the end I decided it was easier to have the same version at home as at work.

The modules aren't all that exotic

use LWP::UserAgent;
use HTTP::Request;
use HTTP::Response;

I'm playing around with some scripts to mail me some news in the morning - deleting the sport and tidying the format

In fact I've just subsrcibed to safari and I'm tempted to beak the T&C's and download it - as it uses terrrible html served slowly from an IIS server!

I've got the Perl CD bookshelf and love the speed. I also love being able to grep it, I gave up on thier inbuilt search engine as it only works if you run it from the CD - which I don't do as I sometimes want to use the CD for other things and hard drives are faster.

It's funny really - the books I ma allowed to download (linuxdoc etc) - I don't need to as the html is lightwieght and the cache well, but safari, in doing all they can to prevent me having a local copy (no-cache headers, javascript, cookies etc) are making me choose between giving up on them - or breaking the terms.

It's also ironic that books on Perl seem to have been published in html designed for IE !
