A lot of Universities I come accross tend to do something more like
(normally adjusted for the sake of normalising and so forth though):

1st   70%+
2-1   60%+
2-2   50%+

or thereabouts. This year, a 1st in Nottingham was slightly higher than
70% I believe but it is on average in that "ball park".
