[Gllug] personal proxies

Hi all,

Someone posted something a while back that gave me this idea. How possible
do you think it would be to install a personal proxy on my work machine
(winNT, not my fault) that is connected to the firewall via dhcp, that could
change the information available about my computer so that websites saw that
I was using Linux and something like mozilla?

The power microsoft has at the moment is worrying and after a couple of
email conversations with companies, it seems one of the strongest power to
get companies to using standards that allow everyone to use their services
is money, ie. if more people tried to browser their site using non MS then
they will make it standards complient.

I just hate the idea that I am contributing, even in a small way, to M$'s
dominance. Any ideas?

Will.
