Yes, and I really like it now. It's actually saved me a few times when
trying to boot raid arrays using the kernel image on one of the drives
while the normal boot data is unavailable and so forth - very handy.

I recommend installing on each machine individually so you don't have to
cope with the different hard disk geometries and offsets of boot
loaders.
