I remember the discussions a few years ago about the (old) midlayer and
people were talking about taking the one from BSD, in the meantime I think
the midlayer got reworked. SCSI hotplug isn't particularly good, but I'm wary
of people who keep redesigning core subsystems every ten minutes :)
