[Gllug] Virtual IP addresses on a Linux box

If you have a large number of virtual IP addresses on a sun box it can 
dramatically degrade it's performance.

Is this the same for Linux and does anyone know how many IPs start to 
degrade the performance if this is so?

(yes it is me running ssl on virtual hosts :-)
