Hi all

I just thought that some of you may not be aware of this but there appears
to be problems with certain HP Disks. The snip of a message below came from
our Exchange people. Do not take this message as gospel as it could be our
guys covering tracks but just in case.

The problems which were experienced with the Exchange server Lonexc01 this
afternoon have been the direct result of an known manufacturing defect with
the internal disk drives.

This problem has been acknowledged by Hewlett Packard and we are currently
formulating a plan to upgrade the relevant server hardware. In order that we
address any immediate problems and avoid possible data loss on Lonexc01, we
have been advised by Hewlett Packard to remove and replace the affected disk
drives as soon as possible.
