[Gllug] Dual boot problem - SuSE 7.2

A freind of mine has a boot problem.  They have two hard disks and installed
Win2000 on the first and linux on the second.  Linux booted fine the first
time after installation (I think booting from the CDROM) but gives the
error:

L 07 07 07 07 07 etc...

when they boot from the floppy they elected to use for Linux booting.  When
the floppy is taken out win2000 loads fine.  Any ideas what has happened
here?
