What i'm aiming for is a very small id10t proof system for sales staff.
The initial system will be used for a computer shop, but they aim to
resell it as a service to other small shops. The system is to be
simple, sage proved too big and too much hassle for them, (Being a
computer shop they no absolutely NOTHING about computers) so what i
want to do is create a minimal system which will allow sales staff to
scan good sold, which in turn will create an order for that sale. Print
a detailed receipt and adjust the stock levels to reflect the sale.
There is then a back office suite which allows purchase orders, stock
transfers, and general stock adjustment to be made.
I had thought about using a RAD package to develop it initially, but
Ideally i want to run a CGI app.
Cheers
