[Gllug] RH 7.2 /dev/cdrom not a valid block dev

Hi everyone ,

That is a peculiar one, just installed clean New RH72 workstation 
installation and
upgraded my 71 to 72 as well !!!
The clean install refuses to mount Cd Rom  i go to shell prompt and try to 
mount it
from there and gives me a message  /dev/cdrom is not a valid block dev!!!
On my upgrade everything is perfect and it works fine !!!
During the standard workstation installation i have included all packages 
so there
is definitely everything in !!! I have tried to go init 2 and 1 and tired 
from there but
the result is the same !!!!

Any idea what could be the problem!!!  /dev/cdrom  definitely exist on 
/dev  dir !!!
there are not problems with RPM packages as well when i verify
