If I remember correctly remember correctly the BBC have a dept. called
something like the 'Community programming Unit based in Bristol that
specializes in allowing community groups and individuals make there own
programmes but with professional support. I have just done a quick web
search of BBC online but turned up nothing. if people would like to take
this further it may well be an option.
Discovery home and Leisure also do a Hobbies program which may well lead
to a pilot for series and lets face it building a Linux box from old Kit
is a lot cheaper to make than DIY programmes and possibly lead to a
budding media career for some one. ;-)
It would be really good if people could take this somewhere unfortunately
I have no spare time at the moment and can barely keep up with my current
commitments but will follow this thread with interest.
Peace Jim
