[Gllug] SoundBlaster & 2.4.9

I don't know about the soundcards but it seems that firewire/ieee1394
doesn't work properly - it totally crashes if you try to load one of the
three modules you need - I think ohci1394. I saw a usenet posting that
this is a known problem with 2.4.8 & 9 so perhaps they're a bit
"experimental" - firewire worked under 2.4.3.

I've got an on-board chip "sound card" on the machine (I got it from
www.dnuk.net who seem pretty good) which does screech occasionally
playing some games but I expect this is an unrelated problem. It came
with a custom compiled kernel for 2.4.9 (or perhaps 2.4.8 - I can't
remember) plus a custom kernel module for the nVidia graphics card.
