Perhaps a more calm explanation to someone who can actually do
something about it might be preferable?  Send them a letter (yes,
paper) explaining why SSH is useful and how it poses no security
problems for them.  Ask them to open the port.

There are ways to get things done that may not be as satisfying as
getting angry at a minimum wage drone but may well be more effective.

For 99.9% of the population, proxied web access IS Internet access.
