Because being a MS partner and all the other bits entitles you to some
perks such as a shedload of eval software that would cost a small fortune
in betas and other things like good PR and getting your name including on
partner brochures etc. My Situation is that I'm being pushed towards getting
an MCP but if i have some info on Linux courses i might be able to get them
thrown in for some of the staff. (Me included.)

Something that surprised me is that the Microsoft Network Security exam has
sections dedicated to things such as firewalls, IPSEC, PKI and other
non-Micosoft like things ;)

I don't know much about Cisco stuff. Are the software router emulators any
good? My issue with these would be the cost of hardware to play with.
