Hi Roger
Brunel University has a page counting and banner page system that runs 
on LPRng. As the Samba print queues were all bounced onto the Unix print 
queues it could also count the pages of Windows users.

I wasn't involved in the server end of it, and nobody is left at Brunel 
that understands it. Andrew Findlay was Head of Systems at the time it 
was developed so you could try asking him.
