Not only does Win2k have Plug-and-Play (the absence of which was one of
the better things about NT) but the printer drivers now run in kernel
space (along with just about everything else, it has to be said). So
not only can your Win2k machine automatically redetect your printer ad
infinitum it can also BSOD as soon as you try to print to it.
