You haven't heard of DVB then? www.dvb.org -- this is what Sky, Astra
and terrestrial digital use. Sounds like a unified digital format to
me, albeit in three delivery flavours.
The only stick in the mud is Sky who won't release their encryption
module which means you can only buy Sky authorised equipment, rather
than just any off-the-shelf DVB-s compatible kit. Sky have actually
been ordered to release one but there's been no stick to back it up.
Speaking of DVB, does anyone know if NTL use DVB-c for their digital
cable service?
