Yes I can confirm this works, I had a SCSI disk crash on a server with
some stuff I wanted off it.  I guess the fault was heat sensitive
component because the drive would boot but then once up and running it
would through up errors.  Leaving it in the freezer for an hour then
plugging it back in gave me enough time to copy the hole disk to another
before it error again:).  Very clever trick and highly recommend by me.
