asking obvious or 'stupid' questions on list should not be frowned upon.
the range of expertise on this list is quite large.  for everyone that
knew the answer, there's probably someone who didnt.  increasing the
ammount of knowledge[1] people have is usually a good thing.  and yes,
if you know what to look for google is great.  but if you never
considered even thinking about it, you'd never go looking for
information.

being fed tidbits of info is always usefull.

BTW, thanks to the main protagonists, it was a most enjoyable flame
session. :)
