[Gllug] Mahogany email client

Anyone using Mahogany email client? http://mahogany.sourceforge.net/  there isn't a .deb so before I commit myself to tackling compiling it I would be interested if anyone is using it and their thoughts.  In particular a comparison to sylpheed-claws if possible.  I'm looking at something to use for IMAP, playing with sylpheed at the moment which is really nice but interested in mahogany because it started as an IMAP client, has python access and reports to be highly configurable.  Haven't settled on a client yet still using outlook on windows and trying to figure out how to get my contact information out of it in a sane manner.
