[Gllug] Problems with Apache + PHP + GD

Hi

I need some help, this has me pulling my hair out at the moment.

I'm trying to get a progruct called JpGraph to work it's a graph library
using php & gd.

I've build apache with php support many times before and all works well.
But this graph lib needs php to have gd support. SO I downloaded gd
v2.0.1 and built and installed it fine.

Then did the php and apache configs and builds. They worked sort of ok.
When I look at a phpinfo page it says php now has gd support but only
version 1.2 ??

I've not idea where it's getting that number from cause I built and
installed gd v2.0.1

Any ways when I try any of the JpGraph examples the httpd process goes
up to some 300Mb of memory usage then I get an entry like below in the
apache error log :-

"[notice] child pid 14301 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)"

Any help would be greatfully received. I've got to get some graphs
drawing into a website asap and I'm not having much luck. Any one got
this stuff to work before
