[Gllug] OT Firewire/Fast Networking

OK, thanks for that. Out of interest, does an external IDE drive with a
Firewire connection give greater transfer speeds than an IDE drive
plugged straight into the IDE controller on the motherboard (i.e. on an
x86 machine)?
