Touchtyping (was Re: [Gllug] bash / go to beginning of line)

That was useful. I'd developed a mental block by only considering the
gap between the postion I hold my fingers for touch typing and the
position I thought I needed to put my fingers in for using the vim
navigation keys.

I've just had a quick practise staying in the home position and moving
round a file. Since I'm mainly going up, down and and to the right,
having to occassionaly reach out for the h key isn't the problem I had
previously perceived it to be.

I can also see the advantages of then being able to use my touch typing
skills to build a vocabulary of other keyboard movement commands ( w, b,
$, ^, etc...).

Cool... ;-) Thanks for the insight. (and the other insights contributed
to the topic - very interesting all round)
