It would not be something like irq's all muddled up. I have had this
problem. I believe you are able to share irq's as long as one device does
not use it. If you check /proc/interrupts it will show you your current
interrupt settings. I could be talking out my arse though.

I have got a netgear that I intend to get working on my rh box so thanks for
the pointers to the modules.
