Ok - I thought he was tired. Since my bloke wouldnt come with me
because he'd heard RMS talk before (and he'd been jetlagged then
too) it was a shame he wasnt 100% together this time.

I didnt agree with all of his ideas, but I did find it thought
provoking and interesting, and Im glad I went (although whoever
grabbed the mic for the first question was so irritating that we
didnt stay for the rest of em. Got the stickers tho :)

Im glad I went - he's given me food for thought, regarding music
as much as software - and surely that's what a good speaker should
do? If you know what someone is going to say, or already plan to
agree or disagree 100%, what is the point in attending?

By the way QMW staff were great - helpful - so top marks to them
for organisation. Although I havent been in that hall since my
first year there in 1994, so it was wierd!
