The author has been involved in flamewars over this in the past; it's
his opinion that with the proliferation of mailers that can handle
threading, there's no real excuse for the `Re: ' prefix --- in practice
virtually all posts have one anyway (so it adds no real information;
certainly not given the existence of quote marks and attribution lines).

The only mailers I can think of that can't handle threading are elm
(solution: upgrade to mutt) and pine (solution: ban it from your system
as an unmaintainable steaming pile of nightmarish security holes).
