Funny you should say this.
When I was applying for a job via several agencies I sent them all a very
nicely formatted little CV in Word - nothing too fancy.
At one interview I was alarmed to see the version of the CV the agency had
sent. Instead of just removing the address details (as they must to
maintain their middle man status) the agency monkey had cut and pasted the
whole thing to a new document and destroyed the formatting entirely (no
tables, no bold, no size changes) and made me look a right prat. The
interviewer spent the whole interview squinting at the CV and giving me very
odd looks.
