 Yeap, I know that, I actually do not touch any of the graphical druids,
 and I have disabled most of the "maintanance cron jobs".

 The software manager tends to screw up from time to time, even though it
 is only a front end for the urpm* utilities, just avoiding it keeps
 things tidy.

 About iptables, Bastille takes care of it.
