That's pretty much the same as the vim solution, except calling an
external program. One of the things I'm really growing to love about vim
is the powerful range of search/replace commands - expressing the scope
and operation on a single command line rather than fiddling round with
dialog boxes and accidently replacing something you wanted unchanged in
another part of the document.
