Agreed, but it's completely useless for anything else. It's a powerful
tool, but they seem to have forgotten about designing a sensible user
interface. It's far from an end user tool, which is why they also
provide host. But host is still not a good replacement for nslookup,
in that it assumes users are familiar with DNS, and are used to BIND
syntax -- at least in it's default configuration. Red Hat, and probably
other vendors, have configured their version to provide output in a more
human readable form, which is a good start. But it's still less user
friendly than nslookup for reverse lookups (which admittedly, nslookup
wasn't too great on in the first place). End users[1] need an easy to
use tool that doesn't confuse them. Currently nothing provides that,
IMHO.

[1] I'm not necessarily talking about Aunt Tillie here. More someone
that might legitimately need to look up an IP address, but isn't
a DNS administrator.
