I don't doubt it, but you don't have the political power yet. The
paradox is, once someone gets power, it corrupts them. How often do you
see radical politicians turn into meek lapdogs as soon as they attain
office? 

Bringing this slightly on topic again it is like the GPL in that it is
about taking away the power from big corporations like MS (or
politicians) and allocating it equally to everyone.

Being against hierarchy and politicians isn't the same as being
non-political, on the contrary it is very political. I suspect we have
more in common politically than you might think.
