Hmmm, nothing out of the ordinary there. What comes to mind is maybe a 
bad ide chipset. Find out what yours is and have a scoot round on 
google to see if there are any known problems. Just a shot in the dark 
really. Guess there is nothing informative in /var/log/messages?
