Hi all

I tried to connect the following two devices to an LVD U160 channel.

Yamaha  cwr2100s-vk  16*10*40   cd writer
Fujitsu    MAN3184MP   SCSI      HD
LSI Logic LSI22915A Dual Channel Controller

The controller spotted both devices on the bus in the Bios when I set the HD
to narrow using the jumpers. When I tried to let it come up as normal the
Controller would search through the devices and lock up when it came to the
HD ID. I can get both devices to work when they are in the chain on there
own but not together. I had a look on google and seen lots of stuff about
how they shooed be connected and tried various combinations and nothing
worked. It could be Bios settings but I know bugger all about the BIOS of
the card and google did not produce a great deal. I also set the HD to SE
and it was not spotted.

Any pointers appreciated.

Regards;
Harry Jackson.
