Hmmm..
Just walked across the room.
There are two rows of black-cased Elonex servers. 
These aren't 4U - more like about knee/waist high.
Not all are disk servers, but a lot are.
Each has 1Tbyte of IDE RAID.

I'd say 1Tbyte in 4U is easy - and you don't need SCSI.
