[Gllug] Asymmetric video RAM allocation?

I have a dual head setup using a Matrox G450 (without Xinerama). Is there
any way I can allocate video RAM asymmetrically between the two heads?
I have 16MB and I'd like 12 to go the the primary head, and 4 to the
secondary. The reason is:

(EE) MGA(0): Static buffer allocation failed, not initializing the DRI
(EE) MGA(0): Need at least 11250 kB video memory at this resolution, bit depth

I can't get DRI working, because there's not enough RAM to initialize DRI.
Which means no Chromium, no Wolfenstein, and no Unreal Tournament :-(

I've tried to add suitable VideoRam entries in the appropriate Device
sections in my XF86Config-4, but that doesn't work. It just takes 12MB
to be the total amount of RAM, and splits it in two, giving 6 to each
head.

Just to restate, I'm not using Xinerama (if I was, then I guess this would
be much harder). Nor am I bothered about DRI on the second head. That's
purely used for 2D system monitoring at a fairly low resolution. But I do
want to get DRI working on the primary head.

Can anyone suggest anything, short of running single headed, or dropping
my resolution even further than I have already (my preferred resolution
requires 16200K video RAM, which isn't even vaguely feasible on a 16MB
card).
